Location - center
A neo-renaissance residence having its roots in the 13th century, surrounded by an old park, finds itself among dense woods of the Forests of Lower Silesia, 12 km from Bolesławiec, in the village of Kliczków. The castle is favourably located near the international roads Wrocław Berlin, Wrocław Dresden, Szczecin Prague. The village is situated 122 km from Wrocław, 40 km from Forst and 55 km from Görlitz. The castle is accessed via a three hundred meter lime avenue, which starts at the beginning of the village and then leads through a baroque Lions Gate to the bridge and Gate Tower.
Accommodation
The Castle offers the biggest number of beds among historic objects in Poland. There are 211 beds altogether in 89 high standard rooms (including 8 suites, 6 studios with kitchenette, 67 double rooms and 7 single rooms). The suites and hotel rooms are situated on the 1st floor, which corresponds to historic function of those quarters. Court Room and hotel rooms are located on the 2nd floor.
Facilities
In the Summer 2007 in Kliczków Castle will start-up The Spa Center with full fitness and wellness facilities. Our Guests will have opportunity to take advantage of a various fitness and wellness facilities - healing, beautifying and rejuvenating Your Body. All this facilities will be a perfect supplement of The Kliczków Castle attractions - the hikes, bicycle outings (bicycles can be rent in Castle), tennis and others sport offers of The Castle. We ensure also active holiday on fresh air in our Horse-Riding Center where You can take horse-riding lessons and take a ride in a carriage.
Currently some of Spa Facilities such as swimming pool, saunas and jacuzzi are for our Guests use. For full relax we suggest also massage, for instance: classic or relaxing. For massage please make an earlier reservation.
Dining
Our Guests are welcome to visit the Castle restaurant (Zamkowa) located in three halls of the castle. On the ground floor, in the former Counts Dressing Room, there is the bar and breakfast room for the Guests of our hotel. It is accessed from the main hall. This period room is decorated with a dark beam ceiling and high wainscot.
You can also eat your meals in the Ballroom, which used to be called a French one. Empire-style, pale pink and white decoration of walls and ceiling comes from the beginning of the 19th. In such a stylish atmosphere, the dishes recommended by the Chief taste particularly well. Following the example of our ancestors, we take special care to satisfy our Guests palates. Menu offered by the Chief of our kitchen will satisfy even the most sophisticated tastes.
Right next to the reception office, in the wing of former Stable, there is a small café, interesting because of the preserved elements of former outfit of the stable (wall manger, cast iron window framing, cast iron columns, blue and white tiled wall covering). In the summer, we open an outdoor café on the castle courtyard, where you can spend a lazy while having a cup of aromatic coffee, glass of wine, mug of good beer or eating a tasty dessert.
In the castle cellars there are the wine bar and the club. The cellars under the wing of coachhouse are not so spacious and high like castle cellars, but their brick walls, vaulting and floor make the designed interiors look quiet and cosy.
Meeting facilities
We have created in the castle unique conditions for organisation of congresses, conferences, seminars, conventions as well as social-cultural gatherings. Our Guests may use the Business Centre, seven conference rooms (Court Room for 400 people and Theatre Room for 200 people as well as the Ballroom, Fireplace Room, Turquoise Room, Library and Parlour for smaller groups) and 225 m of exhibition area. Conference rooms maintain their historic character. An unquestionable advantage is the connection of historic substance with new media. Presentations can be made using modern audio-video equipment: multimedia projector, video player, visualiser, laser pointer, slide and transparency projector with a remote control, video projector, computer projector, portable screens. The rest of the equipment consists of the sound system (14 loudspeakers in the Court Room, microphones, 3CD Hi-Fi system, double-cassette player). The Theatre Room has a separate sound system on the stage (mixer with CD player, microphones).
